Over the summer, Ethan Grigas ‘26, Lauren Boone ‘25 and I decided to fish at the pond in my neighborhood because we all share a love of fishing. We gathered supplies including a broken fishing rod, artificial bait, Jolly Ranchers, and Scotch Tape (which was very useful in helping to fix the rod). We fished for two hours but caught nothing. Despite not catching anything, Ethan left us with the positive note that “We’ll get it next time,” referring to all the fish still hiding throughout the pond. Afterwards, we sat by the pool and ate buffalo wings, which we all enjoyed. The next day, Ethan returned to the pond by himself and caught a medium-sized fish. I loved getting to fish with my friends, and we plan on going again next weekend. Selfie by me.
