Where to Find the Look: Various online stores
Trademark: "Especially with the current dress code, shoes and socks are a way to be creative and have a unique sense of style," Hunt said.
What Appealed to Me: There are not too many guys that have a unique style. Of course, it is quite uncommon to see a male student wearing accessories, such as a floral scarf, on campus. Really, the only way boys are able to express themselves is through their footwear. Hunt is solely recognized by his astounding shoes and socks which can consist of zebra print, leopard print, Starry Night by Van Gogh, the American Flag, Star Wars or animals such as sharks, jellyfish or monkeys.
His favorite pair of adidas pop with bright mixed designs and patterns, which he purchased online for $200.
"Most of my other shoes are 'regular' in a sense, but these ones definitely stick out, which makes them my favorite," Hunt said.
Hunt began to develop his keen since of style as a sophomore when he noticed that some celebrities and new students were wearing the particular style of shoes. After buying his first pair of Jordans, he was hooked. Many of the online stores he shops at tend to be on the expensive end, making it rare for Hunt to make a purchase on a monthly basis.
"I think it's awesome that he has them," said Sam Sawyer ('16), referring to Hunt's favorite shoes, "because Nicki Minaj has the same pair."
Hunt regularly gets comments about his shoes and socks between the faculty and his piers.
"It is nice to hear people 'showin' luv', telling me [that they] like my style," Hunt said.
