On Dec. 6 North Cross School had a free dress day to celebrate the holiday season. Students were permitted to ditch their usual school uniform and came to school in their best holiday attire. Instead of wearing the classic ugly christmas sweaters, Dearing chose a more formal but fun outfit showcasing her creativity. “It’s so much fun to be able to wear cute and fun outfits every once in a while, ,” Dearing said, “especially at school.” Dearing borrowed the blazer from her dad, Wes Dearing, who often wears it to holiday parties. Using her dad’s blazer made the outfit look more modern as oversized outerwear looks are very trendy right now. Dearing did not plan on this but the accidental oversizing contributed to the relevance of her outfit not only for the holidays, but also fashion trends right now. “I loved my blazer,” Dearing said. “It added a little pizazz.”
