MERCEDES Herrera Aria LEAVES HER MARK ON THE BASKETBALL COURT

After the other team scored, Mercedes Herrera Aria 27’, throws the basketball back into play. The girls basketball team had a great season, with many girls from all grades participating in making the team better. Mercedes is one the international students who engages in the sport as well as Milicia Andjelkovic ‘26 and Brooklyn and Viktoriia larkova ‘25. “Even though we didn’t win every game, we fought together and never judged each other. Mercedes states, “We are family”. Mercedes is looking forward to jumping right into another sport after the basketball winter season is over. Although she has been involved in field hockey in the fall, basketball in the winter, she will not be joining soccer in the spring. Even with all of the other sports as options, Mercedes Herrera’s favorite is soccer. She looks forward to taking part in it next trimester.
