Six Upper School students embarked on a mission to help make the Lower School musical ‘Suessical’ a success. Suvi Hansen ‘26, Noah Shorey ‘26, Caroline Welfare ‘27, Taahir Imam ‘27, Alexandra Conlee ‘29, and James Austin ‘29 worked hard to make this show a possibility. After nine weeks of rehearsals, 42 Lower School performers with Middle and Upper school crew, performed the show five times including two dress rehearsals and three performances for the public. Austin (left) greeted guests and announced that all seats were taken -- “standing room only” -- on Friday, Nov. 7. Hansen was stage manager and Austin was her assistant in supporting theatre director Thomas Costello. They worked together to run the backstage and make sure everything went smoothly. In the photo above, Imam helps Dithvi Odeti ‘33 and Hansen helps Jack Parker ‘35 get set with mics. Conlee led the make-up crew to make sure no one will look crazy on stage. Imam and Shorey are controlled the sound and the light from the booth at the top of the auditorium. Welfare managed the spotlight to highlight the stars on stage.

COUSIN TIME: My younger cousin, sisters and I pose for a picture. My youngest sister, Hope (top left), my other younger sister, Freya (top right), my younger cousin, Forrest (bottom left), and I (bottom right) all smile for the picture my grandmother asked for. “Look at me!”my grandmother shouts as we look at the camera. “Say cheese!” The main issue was the fact that we were staring straight at the sun. Next time we should probably change the angle of where we are looking for the photo.
