Sam:
"Sam started taking French when she came as a ninth grader. She said from the beginning that she didn't like French, and then she became one of the best students in French. She is a delight to teach, and I will miss her very much." - French Teacher Chris Brandon "Sam Bower is a graduating senior that I hope both my daughter grow up to end up like her. Pretty sure she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. However, she balances it really well with this tenacity. That's really quite impressive, but she does it with a sense of grace as well. Academically she's an absolute powerhouse, and with that, she does it humbly as well." - Director of the Upper School Stephen Belderes Isabel:
"When I think of her, I think of the word authentic. She's so sweet and genuine all the time. In class she's very respectful and asks really good questions and has a very can-do attitude." - Director of Global Studies Ryan DeMarco "I really love to read, I read about 100 books a year." - Isabel "She's an incredibly avid reader. I really enjoy talking to her about books that we've both read and hearing about some things that she's read that I have not read. She is an outstanding student who really engages in learning for all the best possible reasons." - English Teacher Polly Jones Dayanna:
"She's very strong willed. She's not a pushover. She knows what she wants, and she'll get it." - Yearbook Advisor Sarah Sledd "People know I'm really honest. I'm very, very honest." - Dayanna "I have rewatched America's Next Top Model countless times, like countless times. I just really enjoy the show because it's like reality TV shows, but before it got really badly scripted. Also, I really like the competition. I am a very competitive person, so I enjoy watching competition." - Dayanna Phoebe:
"I have friends online from all over the world. I have friends from places like Estonia, the Philippines, and Australia!" - Phoebe "I used to collect owl figurines and I have a whole bunch of them in my bedroom. I've been collecting owls since elementary school. I even used to write puppet shows with them." - Phoebe |
